Fisher County is known for its cotton, cattle and wheat. Farms and ranches are located all over Fisher County intriguing the agriculture community. Farmers and Ranchers work tirelessly to maintain their land and withstand Texas’s ever changing weather. The Texas Department of Agriculture offers grants and services that might be handy to the local farmers and ranchers.
Fisher County is not all about agriculture opportunities as it consists of a Hospital, Court House, County Jail, and local Gin and Gyp Mill as its largest employers in the area.
In 2021, Fisher County's very own Shali Alaniz opened Revived Roots a hair salon and boutique. Her family revitalized what was the old flower shop in Roby. Shali graduated from Roby CISD in 2010 and we are so glad she chose to call Fisher County her forever home. The best part of this additional business is that an empty building on our square is now thriving and see's foot traffic once again. Building the future and restoring the past is exactly what Fisher County longs for.
Fisher County is eager for restoration. The County has a lot of potential and now it just needs you to lend a helping hand, shop local and encourage opportunity all while encouraging our younger generations to stick around.
